Capt. Schmitty's Guide Hosted Trips to Belize & Mexico
Capt. Art (Schmitty) Schmidt hosts several trips each year to various lodges in Belize and Mexico. I have been fishing these locations for many years and have close relationships with Lodge Management and the guides. I know the proper tackle, what flies work best, what times of year are best to go. Many people make the mistake of thinking you just go to a great lodge and you'll have a great time. For the most part, this can be true, but many things such as moon phase, wind patterns, what tides say are best for Permit? etc have a huge impact on how good the fishing will be. Blue Horizon Lodge in Southern Belize, Isla Holbox Lodge on the island of Isla Holbox off the Northern Yucatan and Tarpon Town in the bay of Campeche, Mexico.
